Mitchell's life-changing work began with his

Investigators Society
In an effort to document that the consciousness
survives and continues after the body dies
and for the purposes of enlightening and educating
the public on the existence of ghosts, The
G.I.S. have been featured in many newspaper
articles and television programs. Rulon Wood,
from the University of Utah, filmed and edited
a wonderful documentary (1999-2000) about
The G.I.S., which featured members being interviewed,
conducting investigations and investigation
results. They have conducted free seminars
and presentations to the public on ghosts
and hauntings, plus 'how to's' for ghost investigations.
The G.I.S. have been guest speakers and have
lectured on the existence of ghosts, ghost
photography and E.V.P. for groups, schools
