After one year hosting The Wellness Roadshow on Contact Talk Radio I can say that I've learned a few things, and one of those things is how much there is to learn. One of the 'other' things I've learned is that there are 'many', 'many' viewpoints and variations on a theme, so to speak. After an interview I am often contacted by listeners who offer comments and their opinions about the show and topic. We are indeed a remarkalbe kaleidoscope of thoughts, feelings and beliefs. But focusing in a bit closer, on all the viewpoints, variations and opinions I cannot help but notice this; that they are, as we are, more alike than not. Try as we might to exert our uniqueness, stretching ourselves out like a rubber band to distance ourselves from the 'norm', we cannot help but snap back to the core, the center, the oneness of life itself. I have found that I take great comfort in this sameness, and believe that it is the very key that unlocks me from the trappings of judgement, hatred and snobbery.
As long as we walk these planes, and do what we do so well to have our minds and bodies stand apart from the others, as long as we hold onto our personal viewpoints and opinions, we may as well enjoy the illusion we are different, respecting each 'individual for who they are and what they believe. So, like I said, "To each his own...."
