This past weekend an acquaintance of mine asked me if I will still helping people who couldn't get their lives together. I didn't quite know what to make of the question, besides the immediate defensive position it put me in. When I look back on all the clients I have had as a life coach, I wouldn't consider any of them broken! On the contrary, they have all been extremely ambitious people who want to get ahead, who want to live lives beyond ordinary, who aren't satisfied with the status quo.

As the conversation progressed and I explained that my clients are some of the most motivated individuals I know he kind of shrugged it off saying, "I know, I've had life coaching before, I just can't afford it right now."

This conversation made me realize that it is important to dispel two myths about coaching.

1 Coaching is not for losers. Coaching is for people who want somebody who will help them set goals, hold them accountable and cheer them on through their successes.

2 Coaching doesn't have to be expensive. I don't know any coaches who aren't willing to negotiate a contract that works for you.

I hope this has helped. If you want to know more about coaching feel free to give e-mail me at info@melissawest.com. We can definitely talk
