As host of The Wellness Roadshow I am constantly keeping my eyes and ears open in an attempt to 'see' all aspects of wellness. How vast the landscape truly is! When I ask people I meet, "What is your idea of wellness?" their response is often about the mind, body, spirit connection. I always wonder, what it is that really creates wellness. And so I thought I would ask all of you, or rather, any of you who choose to think about this question. Please give me your thoughts, opinions, experiences, intuitive hits, whatever. Remember that our goal is to raise consciousness through conversation, so LET'S TALK!!!

Cells -yes, cells!- have desires and preferences as well. Imagine your cells as desiring good things. A belly laugh is actually effecting cells throughout your whole body in a positive way. Simple breathing exercises are effecting cells throughout your whole body. Gratitude, fulfillment, playfulness, a stimulated brain, dark chocolate, the list goes on and on of things that are boosting you on a cellular level. (okay the dark chocolate thing might be a stretch)
So it's obvious that the best approach to wellness is to bring what your cells like best. It sounds weird, but it makes sense in a way.

I agree with the concept of 'bringing to our cells what they like best' as a general approach to maintaining overall wellness, but keep in mind that the Universe itself creates opposites to achieve balance. This means that the acceptance of the dark 'side' completes the enjoyment and appreciation of the light side. In all of our human experiences there is a balance which occurs which enables us to observe and experience ourselves with this much needed perspective.
Today, on The Wellness Roadshow, we spoke of 'creating abundance' or manifesting our reality by our thoughts. One must get that in order to fully manifest anything positive we must also fully engage ourselves in the negitive aspects of what is our personal human experience. My joy and laughter is punctuated and made whole by my memories of those salty tears.
Accepting life in it's entirety and holding on while experiencing the rapids, knowing the calm lies just around the corner is such a smart approach. In the meantime, heck.....who wouldn't want to dive into a pool of dark chocolate.
