It’s like that if your body is not developing the natural law of survival of the fittest, then your mind can. There has always been a relationship between body and mind, body continuously change and develop same way mind also change and develop. This is one of the basic differences between Hindu and Buddhist philosophy.

As per Hinduism Athma or the Soul stays the same, unlike it lord Buddha said that the soul or the force of life or the qualities that define particular character of a person are also subject to gradual change and since, it changes he added, it is impermanent or "Anithya" which is the basic quality of everything in the universe
