“Turning of the Wheel” with Chris Flisher
Welcome and thank you for discovering "TURNING OF THE WHEEL" radio show.
The goal of your host, Chris Flisher, is to provide an insightful, educational program about astrology, art, and spiritual adventure. Combining astrology, spirituality, with self-expression, "TURNING OF THE WHEEL" will serve to enlighten and engage listeners on some of the greatest divination tools known to man.
Timing is everything. The basis for understanding and accepting astrology comes from a desire to understand and cope with change. Change is one of the single hardest challenges people face in their lives. Whether it's a relationship, an illness, a bad job, or simply an unhappy spot in your life, astrology can help you understand timing and consequences. Chris is a practicing astrologer who is passionate about astrology.
Have a listen and allow yourself to be open to possibilities!
About Chris Flisher
Chris has been a student of astrology ever since he had his first chart done at age 20. At the time, a perfect stranger asked him his astrology coordinates (birth date/place/time) and within a few days he had the most amazingly accurate account of himself that he had ever read; delivered by a person who had no previous knowledge of him. He was immediately hooked. He has spent the rest of his time researching, understanding, and practicing astrology. Much like medicine, astrology is a practice (inasmuch as you never really know it all) and a deep complex science/art requiring years of experience and research. Astrologers must work with both scientific data and intuition.
Every effort is made to help enlighten and educate people on the marvels of the deep science of astrology. Astrology is one of the oldest mystical divinations known to man, and it remains one of the most accurate and authentic of all. It is part science, part art and within it, lies the secret to one's true purpose. The science is based on a properly cast astrology chart, while the art comes from proper interpretation.
As a former talk show host on two nationally-syndicated talk shows, Chris Flisher's approach to guests and callers alike is one of openness and engaging enlightenment. Every effort is made to educate listeners on the complexities of planetary alignments, current transits, and zodiacal characteristics of one's natal charts in plain simple language.
In addition Chris is an accomplished mandala artist. He sees the two modalities as closely related practices that draw deeply from the human sub-conscious. Heavily influenced by the work of Carl Jung, Chris has spent years working with both astrology and mandala to help bring comfort, guidance, and purpose to people.
As always; be open to possibilities.
UPCOMING SHOWS
November 19th – Peter Roger
Topic: “Oh MY God”
Frustrated with religious turmoil, fanaticism and fundamentalism, filmmaker Peter Rodger set out on a global quest to understand why the concept of God has become politicized. In his stunningly, beautiful documentary film
OH MY GOD? (OMG Movie Inc.), Rabbis, Christian Fundamentalists, Catholic Priests, Buddhist Llamas, Hindu Swamis, Zen Masters, Muslim radicals, Shamans and ordinary people across the globe share their unique perspectives and understanding of God, along with several celebrities including Hugh Jackman, Seal, Ringo Starr, Sir Bob Geldof, HRH Princess Michael of Kent, David Copperfield, Dr. John F. Demartini and Jack Thompson. The film debuts nationally this November.
OH MY GOD? is set amongst beautiful backdrops around the world, filmed in 23 countries over three years from the 9th ward of New Orleans to the Guatemalan Jungle, to the Himalayan region of Ladahk, Rodger searches for the common thread in our diverse humanity and reveals that which often divides us can also unite us. The film features inviting faces and personalities that are a touching reminder of the melting pot that we call humanity and the mystery that we have given many names.
Controversial, hopeful, heartwarming and sometimes shocking Rodger’s film reveals the diverse beliefs with which we were raised, and subscribe to solely because we are told to. He questions why we often blindly “believe” without direct experience or personal introspection. “I was fed up with the childish schoolyard mentality that permeates this world - I call it the "My God Is Greater Than Your God" syndrome - where you have grown men flying airplanes into buildings shouting "God is Great" - where you have the leader of the free world telling the BBC in 2003 that he invaded Iraq because God told him to -- None of these concepts made any sense to me,” states Rodger, “So I decided to go around the world and ask people what they thought.
